I recently purchased your RH and LH hoof knife from our local farrier supply. I have been shoeing horses for better than 50 years and have to say that your knife is about the best I have ever used. The design and quality of the blade does a great job, and the feel and leverage of the handle is welcome in my old hands. Thanks for offering a superior product.

Heartland horseshoeing has been one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. It’s hard work, lots of learning, and the school gives you a good foundation for your path to being a well-rounded Farrier.

I always enjoy being here. You have made easier something I wanted, but would have talked myself out of if I had to travel. Almost everything good in my life stems from your school and the things you taught and re-enforced – education, dedication, perseverance and grit…. Thanks again.

If I had to give anyone some advice about starting a career in the farrier trade, the first thing would be to start at Heartland Horseshoeing School. It is the best tool that in which you can invest. Chris, Kelly and Cody will be able to teach you the skills needed to be a successful farrier. They will teach you horseshoeing, forging, anatomy, and horsemanship, which will help you become certified. I am a good example of what they can do with a student, as I had zero shoeing or anatomy knowledge when I enrolled at H.H.S., and the staff worked with me and gave enough encouragement to work hard and graduate the eight week course. Since then I have been able to become a Certified Journeyman Farrier in less than three years after graduation. You will have great respect among other farriers that that know you graduated from H.H.S. If you want to be known as a professional among vets, farriers and trainers, you need to be educated by the best, and that is Heartland Horseshoeing School.

Attending Heartland Horseshoeing School was definitely a very rewarding experience. Chris offers a curriculum that demands 100% of the student. He expects a lot out of his students, but he and his family give a lot in return. This school is for a person who is serious about their career choice. The ones who aren’t serious won’t make it through the course.

I spent three months in Oklahoma taking an Advanced Horse Shoeing and Blacksmith Course. I received more instruction on how to shape a shoe in the first 15 minutes at Heartland Horseshoeing School then I did during the entire twelve weeks I spent in Oklahoma. The skills I have gained from attending Heartland Horse Shoeing School have given me a competitive edge and made me more confident.

I loved it. I know how much those students will appreciate the knowledge they gain from your school. They will never forget the good times and the hard work that they experience. You have an incredible ability to teach, and I’ve always admired that about you. Through humor and hard work, you get the job done. Keep looking down so the one above can keep blessing you. (This will only apply to horse shoeing).

Having been to a great many clinics and seminars over my career, I can say that without a doubt, Chris Gregory has one of the most articulate ways of helping farriers understand anatomy and its importance in the art of farriery. Chris’ emphasis on terminology and the functions of the horses limbs as they relate to its locomotion are without peer. I always enjoy attending Chris’ clinics, and am able to take away knowledge and techniques that have helped me greatly over the years. History will put Chris on a list of greats in this industry. Not only is my quality of work better from what I have gleaned at his clinics, but my life is richer for knowing him. An outstanding farrier, teacher and righteous man.

I have attended several of Heartland’s continuing education courses, from pre-cert courses (AFA cert to AWCF cert course) and several advanced blacksmith courses, and have hosted Chris and Cody for clinics here in Illinois. The Heartland staff always gives 110%. Worth every hour and penny I have spent with them.

My first clinic was given by you, and my interest for forging was awakened that day. I and all who were in the clinic lost a bet to you, do you remember? Chris, thank you for being who you are: An excellent teacher, very didactic, helpful, and above all, a buddy. God bless you and your lovely family. I hope to see you very soon.

We own 8 quarter horses. We depend on Chris and Kelly to keep our horses’ feet sound. They bring the students to our farm and manage the horses professionally. They are kind and yet firm in managing our horses. We had a severe abscess in a hoof a year ago. They treated it promptly and amazingly it healed up completely. We would highly recommend the Heartland Horseshoeing School to anyone who is interested in that profession.

In the beginning of this video, I saw Mrs. Kelly Gregory walking around assisting her students. Seeing her brought back memories from when I attended Heartland Horseshoing School back in 2002.
I was 16 years old when I attended and graduated from Heartland Horseshoing School. That was almost 20 years ago. In the past 20 years, I have attended clinics that were put on by what a lot of people, including myself consider to be top hands. For the past 16 years, I have been in law enforcement. Throughout the last 16 years I have been put through hundreds of hours of training on different aspects and different levels of law enforcement. Everything from the basic academy to specialized training, including several federal classes and certifications.
I explained that to be able to say this. In the past 20 years, especially the last 16 of those 20 years I have had a lot of instructors from many different parts of the country. In my experiences, I have yet to meet or have another instructor who possesses the ability to teach their students the way Kelly Gregory teaches.
The way she presents herself to her students, the way she explains a horses anatomy, her ability to simplify what she is explaining and especially her abilities to get along with and handle a bad horse are all things that I still remember from almost 20 years ago.
Undoubtedly Heartland Horseshoing School is the best of the best. Students who attend any program this organization offers will be set up for success. A person who commits to this organization and applies themselves to what it has to offer will be as successful as he or she wants to be.
I can say from personal experience, Kelly’s role within this organization is one that has consistently produced educated students who have went on and made a great name for themselves within the horse industry.
Also, if there happens to be a parent who has a 16 year old son or daughter whom wants to be a farrier, you can trust Chris and Kelly Gregory with your child’s education but most importantly your child’s safety.
