Dusty Franklin, CJF, AWCF, ASF

Dusty and I have been friends since the mid-1990s when he pulled into the heartland to have a look around. He is one of those people that you can't help but like, and I have had the privilege of watching his meteoric rise in the Farrier trade. From his certified farrier run, his journeyman horse, competing with me and against me in Calgary at the Stampede, to where he is now, the owner of the farrier school known as Five Star Horseshoeing School in Minko, Oklahoma.

He is one of my dozen featured mentors in my memoir, For the Want of a Nail the Shoe is Lost. and Dusty and I remain good friends still today. As I said, you can't help but like Dusty, and this interview will prove that to you.

We are cleared for takeoff.
